Welcome back to a new year at Misson Primary School. I hope you have all managed to do something nice during the break, whether at home or abroad.
In the last newsletter I sent a list of dates of events in school for the autumn term and I would now like to give some further information for some of them.
Key dates for this half term are:
We will continue to invite parents to the last Friday assembly of each month these will be Friday 26th September and Friday 24th October.
Welcome to our new look website, this is just a start. We will be adding more content over the next few weeks and months, so keep checking back
I cannot believe it is only a week until year 6 leavers assembly. Mrs Hogg is the best teacher you can have she works 24/7. It has been a tough year but we couldn't have done it with out Mrs Hogg!
I just want to say a big thank you:)
I've been at Misson for all my school life -the opportunities were good like we went to Castleton, Hathersage and Malham. Fantastic! I wish I could stop for longer at Misson it's been wonderful. My most embarrassing moment is when I got caught in the toilet singing and rapping. It was so funny I wish I would stay at Misson for 3 years more. I like Hayfield but it does not feel like home for me.
I will miss all my teachers and all my friends.
Can't believe it's my last week at Misson. My last few days have been happy and sad. We have been practicing our leavers script and also practising swag walks. We have been talking about our secondary schools and how we are all going to miss Misson but I think we will all be happy at our new schools.
I have started to count down the days for my final week at Misson Primary School. Y6 have only five days left at Primary. I have mixed feelings about going up to Hayfield, I am exited about going because of all the wonderful people that will also be going and I'm also scared about going because I don't know my way around perfectly and don't know how much the teachers will expect from me. Leaving Misson gives me some sad feelings because I will miss all the teachers and all the other students....
I have been counting down the days that I have left at Misson on my kitty calendar. The years at Misson have gone so quickly it only seems like yesterday when we were in reception. I wish I could stay here, maybe even go back into reception again, anything that will make me stay here for longer. I would do anything for the school even if it means cleaning up after everyone! I don't want to leave because all of the fun times we have had here will go and then they will have to start all over...
I am nervous and very upset to be leaving Misson school very soon. Despite the fact that I am ready to move on and willing to meet new friends, I will miss all my best friends and all the brilliant teachers here at Misson during my journey of getting older and progressing further in my education and secondary school life. Enthusiastic, would be a word i'd use to describe moving on as I have discovered what an amazing school Hayfield is through-out my transformation(transition) week. I would...
I've been at Misson primary for at least six or seven years, yet it only seems like two minutes ago since I first walked through the door to reception. My days here have been adventurous and exiting, moving up a step will be hard but will be the same as moving from pre-school to here. I will miss my other friends here and my teachers including the dinner ladies. Everyone at this primary school has done an amazing job.
Goodbye Misson and good luck xx
Love from Willow 😀
I can't believe that soon I will be going to Hayfield School for good and will be leaving Misson forever. It seems like only a few days ago I had started this school and now I am leaving. There are so many great things that have happened in my time here and I don't want to leave. If I could go back in time and do it all over again I would and I would love it. Misson is the best school ever. Thank you Mrs Hogg for everything you have done I will never forget you. You were amazing.
